- something he wanted or
- something incredibly crazy
He said he had to go to TWO stores to find it and even had to get on his phone web browser to prove to the lady in the store that they had some in stock. They were in backstock. (I wonder why?)
FINALLY he gave me the blanket wrapped gift and I unveiled.....
A SNUGGIE
Have you SEEN the commercial about this contraption? A blanket with arms?
Randy and I saw the commercial a few nights ago and we both could not stop from commenting on it. Not in a good way commenting. It looks like an outfit one of those creatures from Star Wars wears.
Or even a Jedi Knight.
All I know is that I thought it was one of the silliest things I'd ever seen. Grab a blanket already. Put on a sweatshirt. I know-turn up the heater! (oh wait, you don't have to turn on the heater wearing this!)
I honestly thought the gift was a joke. It wasn't. My dear husband told me I could wear it while I was using my laptop (I have no laptop) or while I was watching tv ( I usually do that while in bed, under covers).
He got one for my mother, too. (because they were ONLY 15 dollars! On the website they are two for 35.00!) I suggested he give MINE to my mother and take hers back. Not going to happen.
I do like the cool little booklight that came with it.
A SNUGGIE?!!?!? Oh my HECK that's the funniest thing ever! They've been talking about those on the radio a lot lately. Someone said that the snuggie looked extremely flammable...It looked so flammable that it could burst into flames itself! I kinda like the idea of one though. I watch tv in my room and at night I have the fan on and if I have to change the channel the cold air sneaks under my 3 wonderful blankets and about freezes my arm off.
ReplyDeleteWhat is it made out of? It looks like felt or maybe fleece?
That's hilarious! I think the Snuggie is so ridiculous and funny. My friend really wanted one (as a joke of course) and I'm always tempted to buy one whenever I see the commercial for it. Maybe I'll go to the store and buy one for her since they are only $15! Patrish, I think you should wear it with pride! I'm secretly jealous of you.
ReplyDeleteAmanda- The Snuggie is made of one big piece of static-y fleece with two HUGE sleeves for your arms. In the pictures it seem like it easily fits on you. You have to wrap the whole thing around you and make sure it doesn't open up in the back. Wait, I have a great idea! PUT ON A ROBE! Oh no, that's already been invented.
ReplyDeleteMichelle: FYI they are at Target. Just so you don't go searching all over town for them. I've made it easy for you!
That is so funny!! Leave it to Randy to give that gift. I remember one Christmas he gave us all gifts from the DI. I got a Ronald McDonald mug and Heather got a used (still dirty) bunt cake pan....he is so funny!!
